Our Story
It Started With One Saree We Couldn't Stop Thinking About
A relative's wedding, a Kanjivaram passed down from her mother, and a question that stuck with us long after: why does it feel almost impossible to find a saree like this anymore — one you'd actually want to hand down?

How Parampora Began
We Went Looking for the Weavers, Not the Middlemen
That question took us from Varanasi's by-lanes, where the clatter of handlooms still fills the air by 6 a.m., to the temple town of Kanchipuram, where silk is measured in generations, not seasons. What we found was a craft in trouble — extraordinary skill, paid a fraction of its worth, buried under layers of traders and middlemen before it ever reached a customer.
Parampora started as a simple decision: cut the distance between the loom and your wardrobe. We work directly with weaving families, pay fairly and on time, and bring their sarees to you exactly as they made them — no shortcuts, no mass-market copies.
Every saree we sell still carries the name of the person who wove it. When you drape a Parampora, that's whose work you're wearing.
